Might be a barn burner. If Louisville wins, and the LSU situation is not vastly improved, this could mean the LSU brass considers Petrineaux? If Louisville wins, then Herman may be available since that means no Playoffs for UH.

Guess most LSU folks will be rooting for Louisville this year.

Petrino left Lousville once before. We all saw how that worked out.

He's home and he's not leaving again.

No way Petrino ever becomes the LSU coach... He might be elected governor of my home state but not the head coach of its flagship university.

Had Arkansas in the top 3?! Yes, I did see how that worked out.

Herman->Jimbo->Petrino

There's a lot of desperation right now. First Kiffen, now Petrino. Please people. We can do better!!

Desperate? Show me a potential candidate that has a better resume than the following:

11 seasons

102–39 career record at the likes of Louisville, Arkansas, Western Kentucky

Two 1-loss seasons in that time frame

2 BCS bowl games

9 bowl games

6 top 25 finishes

Sure you could look at that and say that's not elite, but he did it mainly at Louisville and Arkansas.

Say what you want about him as a person, but that's pretty damn strong as a head coach.
