I know that this board likes to only look at the negatives, and I am as disappointed in our performace as anyone..

But...

One reason to still have a positive outlook on the rest of the season is this.

If, If we play to our abilities, we still have everything still in front of us. We win out and we are in. We can still support this team and pray for some sort of offense to get us to where we want to be.

Nothing. Absolutely zero positive as long as he is here.

Did you see the Bama game last night? Nothing positive to see for LSU

If our fan base cannot at least support the idea that their team still has all of their goals in front of them then I do not know what to tell you.

I will continue to watch every week with optimism.

What else can you do except be miserable

Exactly. We have a JR QB and look like a bad HS team. They have a true FR come in and look like a juggernaut

it's not miserable to be realistic. I'm generally an optimistic person, but sometimes things aren't good. And you have to be strong enough to acknowledge that.

You can keep your head buried deep in the purple and gold sand, but I prefer to view the world out in the sunlight.

Honestly, the whole team looks pretty soft outside of Fournette and a few others. Gonna be a long season.

I have no problem being realistic. However, It was one game, the first game, on the road, with about as poor a performance as we could have had. If we can win up until Alabama...If....We are still right where we want to be

Typical 24 hour melt. Plus there is a vocal contingent around here who actively enjoys LSU losses so they can gloat. We'll see what we look like against State. They are terrible so if we lose or struggle its going to be a rough rough year.

I just find it funny that the majority of our entitled fan base is saying that they are done with LSu Football because we lost by 2 to a Big 10 team that lost 2 games last year.

Granted we looked awful, however there is still everything to play for and cheer for

Okay, I'll play along.

Seriously.

A positive?

Not a lot of false starts.

I was about to say not a lot of stupid penalties, but Josh Boutte made up for that in a king-sized way.

I would normally think this way, but yesterday proved that NOTHING has changed in offense.

I basically made two preseason predictions with my buddy. 11-1 with new offensive philosophy and 7-5 with the same old lame scheme. So I settled on 9-3 which is now the absolute best case scenario at this point.

When 9-3 is best case scenario you have become just a better than average program.

The one positive to look at is LSU bringing in a competent head coach in the next two or three months.

Here is a positive thought for you, baseball season starts in 5 months...by then, tRant will be responsible for firing 3 coaches, CLM, CJJ, & CNV...then after baseball season we will have successfully fired all 4 major sports coaches in less than 12 months...
