Aren't there a lot of options between a spread offense and being afraid to throw the ball?

By the numbers:

12-21-131-1-2
33-52-419-2

LSU fans would stroke out if the latter happened. That's just poor defense!

He means with an incredible D , u don't have to score alot of points. The other team can't beat you if they can't score!

The Miles power game is not sexy. It doesn't hav th biggest boobs (although might arguably be run by the boob) or entity blondest hair but it eats up clock and yards. It keeps the score down so LSU always has a chance.

Is this why elected to throw while in FG territory to end the game. You're a bafoon

The Miles way is d and ground and pound. Would not work against a team like FSU.

The most horrible grammar, spell checking, or giving a shite about what you write, I have seen in a long time.

You lost me at "I fast girl".

Ole Miss's problem was it ran t spread offense. It's fast it's flashy, and it scored points. But like I fast girl, it's doesn't help you when you need it it most. Ole Miss scored scored of points . . Them too quickly. It is run any time o of the clock. Ole Miss suddenly found it self getting blown out as quickly as it blew out FSU.

See Oregon v Auburn.

this is so stupid that I cant even respond without thinking how retarded you sound. You are saying we score less because we want to keep the score down? what about when we get behind? We cant come back because the ancient offense cant score enough. I understand running the clock and that makes sense but 3 and outs dont run the clock. Just look at the TOP against Wisconsin. We cant sustain drives because our 3 plays we have are telegraphed. It works just fine against teams that cant match up physically against LSU but what happens against Bama, Arkansas, Ole Miss etc? The point of football is to score more than your opponent. So guess what, score more and then the defense doesnt have to be absolutely perfect just to compete. We got our shite pushed in by an inferior team. Les has lost 4 of 5 regular season games. He had all off season after presumably getting a wake up call and this is what we get, one 2 play scoring drive in 4 quarters of football against an inferior team? Dont come here with that bullshite

Bad things happen when you throw the football particularly with an inexperienced quarterback. Had Ole Miss' defense not been gassed trying to keep up with FSU's big speedy receivers in open space, they would have made that freshman qb pay dearly. FSU lucked out that Ole Miss did not have the proper conditioning to defend the pass. LSU will not make the same mistake.

LOL, you can't score a lot of points and have a good enough defense to shutdown the opponent?

You are exactly correct but that does not change the Miles problem (Boob in charge instead of brain...).

Jimbo had his RS Freshman QB in his debut throw 51 times. Do you think Miles would let an LSU QB throw that many? Add to that, the FSU team made adjustments as the game went on to find the weaknesses in their opponent and capitalized on that before halftime even got there.

You can have a power run game and still be able to spread the field when you need to.

The problem isn't that Miles like to pound the ball, the problem is that when he should and NEEDS to spread it out, our offense falls flat on it's face.

Why did we get beat by 17 against Ole Miss last year then? We never had a chance.

I'd rather be up 22 than scrapping to get a 1 point lead
