The offense looks power run and ball control and that is good.

I think Canada has done a nice job with the offense.

[1] It is basically power run and ball control with a lot of motions. This is its core is not very far from what we ran during the Saban era, the early part of the Miles era ( before The Hat became obsessed with pounding the rock ) and what Steve Ensminger ran last year. It is LSU football. The difference is the motions that can confuse a defense.

Trying to install a pure spread offense would have been a disaster.

[2] Canada has got a lot of players involved in the running and passing game. That way a lot of players are getting playing time and experience and push comes to shove is ready for SEC play.

Canada's offense will have a different twist every week. No way is he going call 75% rushing plays every game. We have a taste of what is to come as you could see the play action and spreading the ball, using tempo on and off as needed. This is going to be interesting.
