Geez, how can you have so much wrong in one post. The OP made a nice, informative post. He's either right, or at least made a good guess, on everything he wrote except for one: he shouldn't have doubled our odds in Omaha. We should be a little better than one in eight, but not 25%. As for "how can you make odds when the opponents aren't known yet", IDK, ask the bookies in Vegas, they do it all the time.
As for pitching, he's right here too. It's not that our pitching isn't good, it's very good, it's just that every pitcher except Lange is inconsistent. And that IS different from a lot of teams.
