They're the number one team in the country and it's not even close, imo. That team has it all. I have never seen a better collegiate gymnastics team ever. 12,000 don't show up by accident. People know greatness when they see it and that's what we got this year. And to top it all off, we close every meet with lloimincia's ridiculous floor routine when we don't even need it. And nobody in the world has that. This is why LSU is currently a gymnastics school. Because right now we are the best. Those girls are incredibly good.

Based upon current averages the national champion should emerge from one of the following six teams. Unless some other team just pulls the performance of their lives LSU would be at the forefront of probable champions. It will all depend upon which tem embraces the moment, trusts the process, has a nice surprise performance and gets the ultimate from its stars on the biggest stage.

dude, I know you're only like 15 yrs old, but when I was at LSU 20 yrs ago gymnastics had nationally ranked teams, large crowds, All Americans....

So quit acting like women's gymnastics just got invented by DD Breaux last night and nobody in the history of louisiana has ever been to a meet.

Go away

Dude,

I was at LSU when Armanda Vega was the coach and DD was a performer. No need for your absurd ad hominen attack.

The program has elevated to a new level over the past decade or so and the support from LSU fans has been increasing accordingly.

The program hit anew level Friday night and took one giant step forward. Anyone who was there could attest to it and the media has chronicled it.

Guess you are not impressed with the accomplishments of the Saban and Miles led football teams either since there were big crowds and All Americans under Curley Hallman and Gerry Dinardo when you were at LSU.

I know next to nothing about gymnastics, but I'm glad the Tigers are doing well.

This is the spirit we need for all sports. Gymnastics is hard to follow from a scoring perspective as it is subjective and low score is dropped in each rotation.

It is also weird that the home team performs before a roaring crowd then the visitors operate virtually in a vacuum.

The athleticism, artistry and explosiveness combined with attractive women and a great atmosphere is worth your attendance.

Here's Lliomincia Hall's 9.975 Floor Routine (which means she got a 9.95 from one judge and a 10 from the other). She's incredible on this event!

Oklahoma is the number one team in the nation by a wide margin actually. They are our only loss of the season. They were co champions with Florida last year (only time that has ever happened). They are even better this year. They will be extremely tough to beat. Oklahoma is a very clean gymnastics team. They have recruited more power recently, but they still don't come close the power and difficulty that LSU has, especially on floor. LSU can definitely win it all this year. They have to be super clean though and stick every landing to win it. It will come down to OU, UF, and LSU this year. I pray it's this year for D-D, because I really feel like it's this year, or it's not going to happen. Those seniors have worked so hard to become they gymnasts they are, and it is incredible what they have done for the LSU program! It will be so sad not to see them win at least a SEC title.

Yeah, I feel good about making the Super Six again, but Oklahoma will be really tough. There's no defense in gymnastics, so we'll just have to nail our routines and get a lot of solid scores.

Will LSU win Friday or will it be another example of SEC (Gump) officiating?

So glad to see the conference championship in Georgia and the semifinals / super six / and finals in Fort Worth. No more Birmingham!!!

That is unfortunate. I think it would be great if the entire LSU team could stand at the end of the beam while an Alabama athlete was performing and just go

Well there's just no way around this, but if our girls perform they can overcome the home cooking

I went to a meet last year when the Bama gymnasts were doing something like this. We were on the beam, and they were doing their own clapping and cheering while waiting their turn on floor. We still beat the Gumps though.

Florida was doing this on Friday. They were screaming while our girls were on beam. If you watch the replay, you can hear it in the background.

I don't expect us to win the meet on the road at Bama. Bama is still very good, and SEC away meets are very tough & the judges are ususaly very tight with scores for the away team.
