Mike Scarborough, Bryan Lazare, Sonny Shipp, Shea Dixon, Scott at Dandydon, and a host of other so-called experts and scribes don't know significantly more than a lot of us readers.
Nothing any of them said indicated that Steele would be selected. I even seriously doubt reports that LSU was inundated with interest from NFL and college DCs alike.
Shame on me for the wasted time glancing at these ridiculous sites during the course of the last several days, hoping for some real breaking news yet getting only hogwash. I'm done with those guys.
Nevertheless, good luck Coach Steele. Geaux Tigers!

But still, Steele was never mentioned in the same category , as Clancy Pendergast, Shoop, or even Mike Stoops. More of an afterthought the longer the process went on

Good ole les. He's such a goofball. He makes us laugh at his press conferences and he eats grass. The man eats grass!

Jim Kleinpeter, the LSU beat reporter for Louisiana's paper of record, said Steele wasn't a serious candidate for the job less than a week ago.

There was a strong reason Steele wasn't mentioned. Those sites have writers just like us. They viewed Steele in the same light as we do! It is fun to watch them spin it as we get to RANT. Rest assured, they are anonymous on here ranting with us over this hire!

Jim works for NOLA.com - is that even considered a newspaper?

I cannot understand why people still pay for premium services for these websites when these so called "insiders" offer little to no information. I would have thought 24 hrs news, twitter etc...would have driven these scam artist out of business. Its a joke really.

After this, do you still believe that Braxton Miller is going to transfer to LSU?
