Florida and Georgia are scheduled to play on October 29. That is the same date LSU has open before Alabama. Florida and Georgia have an open date the week before on October 22. Move the Florida Georgia game up a week. LSU plays Florida on October 29. It's the only reasonable solution. Florida and LSU lose their open dates, but are getting one this week. Presbyterian and South Alabama still get their games with Florida and LSU. Georgia gets their open date on October 29.

Nope. Play before 12AM Tuesday or forfeit.

I get what you're saying but its the responsibly of the host team to plan for events like this.

Or we can play this week. Quit screwing around and let's play the game.

I know but this works with everybody giving up just a little bit. And Georgia needs to be penalized for giving up that Hail Mary in some manner!

I'm still not understanding how this hasn't been planned to be Sunday or Monday somewhere. They must really literally don't want to play.

No chance uga or Jacksonville will agree to that. Hell florida won't agree to it. Tons of logistic problems. Uga's ad would be fired on the spot if it happens

Nobody is going to get Florida to admit they screwed up. And the Florida Georgia game is in Jacksonville. It should be ready to go by then. All the remaining choices suck. Teams canceling games, teams losing home dates, smaller teams been told to piss off.

Not giving up that rest week before bama

You idea is a non-starter based on the prior options being flatly declined by our esteemed opponents from the great state of Florida.

How is this "logical?"

It requires a UGA game to moved by a week, and they're not a party to this ridiculous forfeit/cancel. This would penalize their fans and the city of Jacksonville.

Georgia won't agree to it, no should they be asked to.

New teams

New players

New coach

As such, I fail to see your point

You think Jacksonville wants a half filled stadium? You think uga and Florida want to tell all their fans to have to change their plans on short notice? There is no chance they are moving the fla uga game.

I never said this would happen! I said it is the most logical thing that could happen. Florida is not going to forfeit. We are clearly not playing this weekend or Monday. The remaining choices, as stated, clearly suck and involve multiple teams being inconvenienced in some manner. I would like to know if anyone has even suggested this to the powers that be to see if Georgia and Jacksonville would agree. Don't give Florida the chance to refuse it.

Most logical is to let it go and rewrite the commissioner's rules to provide powers to handle such a situation in the future

League cannot currently coerce relocation or cooperation

I don't think that means what you think it means.

The most probable solution which isn't likely is A&M moved to saturday and lsu gets paid 6.5 million. I'm sure your solution will be brought up but it has no chance of happening.

UGA might go for it just to help UF take a loss to LSU.

Given Florida's stance on this so far, what solution is more logical?
