The media seems to be giving Dooley a free pass.

Most of the media reporting is focusing on LSU's poor clock management. I guarantee if it would have been LSU on the other side of the score and had 13 men on the field that would be the main point of their reports. Geaux Tigers! Kick some Gator arse!

The national media is ONLY talking about the 13

some voices are on Miles but nothing like the UT13

Look, I've had as much fun joking about this as the next guy, but who the hell has ever planned for this kind of idiocy?!? I completely give the guy a pass.

dooley doesn't make 4 million a year and run an elite program all while having the same mistakes occur over & over...he gets a pass first time but it doesn't really matter anyway b/c he's not even considered a good coach right now

Why should he get a free pass??

I dont' care who the coach is... his game time coaching literally took a win and threw it in the crapper!!

Really.

I'm left wondering if the LSU meltdown could possibly be worse if say,

LSU WAS THE TEAM THAT HAD A DEFENSIVE PENALTY AT THE END OF A GAME THEY HAD WON AND ENDED UP WITH THAT LOSS?!?!?!!?!?

Dooley and UT was Chris Carter's C'om On Man on Monday Night Football. They were all laughing and making fun becuase they had 13 men on the field.

His wasn't that bad. It was an unforeseeable situation...I'm sure he had completely written off changing formations when he saw there was only 10 seconds left.
I think coaches deserve passes in rush situations such as these...not when they have minutes to plan for a completely foreseeable circumstance. Dooley could get in that situation 100 more times and never see another personnel change, that is, unless he's up against Miles..

Dooley's team wasn't favored by 16 points.

Dooley is a competitive class act. Tigers fans are looking like whiny bitches if they can't understand a person's frustration over such an ending. If he didn't have a passion to win he wouldn't have reacted the way he did.

Uh... yeah. It was bad..

the same clock was running out at the same time when HE decided to start a bunch of subbing, and they ended up set with too many on the field. JUST AS BAD...

Dooley will learn from this situation. Miles keeps making the same fundamental errors over and over and over while never learning from his mistakes.
Not sure I would beat on Dooley to hard. He came into Tiger Stadium playing with mostly underclassmen and only 5 seniors on the team as a 17 point underdog. Frankly, he did a great job in shoving it in the face of our "talented" team and 90,000 fans.

It's the 2nd week in a row that Tennessee has had problems with substitutions. But nobody cares about Tennessee so it doesn't get any attention.

Having too many men on the field is hardly the same as having THE WRONG QB.

Dooley and his team screwed it up badly. Bet Tennessee fans aren't cutting him any slack.
