I think Miles and Crowton will have an offensive game plan vs. Auburn similar to what State did vs. Florida- run oriented time control with a few passes to win the time of possession battle and keep Newton off the field as much as possible. We have the line and the backs to do this and JJ is a good enough runner as well. Lee would give us the pass or run option now. I think the key to this victory is to control the ball and clock and to have the defense rested enough throughout the game to keep the Auburn offense in check-if this turns into a scoring contest-they have the upper hand.

if we can run it successfully consistently, i agree. personally, i think au is going to play to stuff our running game and will be pretty successful unless we pass the hell out of the ball. running the ball and creating 3 and outs will not accomplish your plan.

I agree-that why I do believe we will pass some to keep them honest-the QB's will be changing plays at the line based on what the AU defense is doing-I just think we will run more when the situation calls for it.

AU is going to sell out to stop the run. The ONLY way we have even a small chance to win is to have a big game passing. We know JJ can't do it, and we know JL won't be on the field enough to get it done.

Miles and his BS QB rotation will cost us this game. Then we will predicatbaly tank the rest on the way.

I think we have a little more than a "small" chance to win this game. However, I'm not buying the AU is overrated, Newton's not that great, they haven't seen our defense yet talk either.

Give them credit. They're 7-0

Give Newton credit. He would be my choice for
Heisman.

"Stop Newton and you stop AU." No shite, don't yall 7 other teams have had this objective?

LSU doesn't necessarily need a huge day passing, but they have to throw it for more than 100 yards. If they're going to play JJ, then they have to let him throw it some to at least keep the defense honest. If he's just in there as a runner, then why waste those possesions. Give him simple passes, ala the Peach Bowl. Roll outs, quick TE dumps, one or two play action deep balls and make our WR's make a play.

Or give him an etch-a-sketch to play with on the sidelines.
