Yesterday's performance from our new QB while encouraging feels a lot like deja vu...This is not the first time, a new QB has come in relief and taken the team to victory. And then we fans are left salivating to the prospect that our offense woes are a thing of the past. But next game, its back to the norm.

I was sitting last night thinking the Etling kid is going to be thrown to the dogs(no pun intended) next week. And we will see a repeat of the shoddy performance like the Wisc game and last year..

Exactly. And if you need proof that Miles will frick up next weekends calling just go rewatch yesterdays 3rd Quarter. Les started calling offense. Etling 0/6 1 interception in 2'd half of game.

Exactly. Etling is the answer as long as Miles stays out of the offense. Second half was back to typical Miles garbage, and he'll do the same in SEC play. He can't be fired soon enough!

Don't you guys worry. Once Fournette returns, the offensive play calling will revert back to it's glory days of Lambeau Field. Don't matter who the qb is.

Slow down! He was 6-14 against JACKSONVILLE ST. Not exactly impressive.

Oh, 6 of 14. So you didn't actually watch the game, huh? It's a funny thing, these numbers. At times (longer term and a lot more statistical samples) numbers accurately reflect performance. I get that, and I'm a numbers guy. But other times, numbers don't tell the story. Etling clearly had a better grasp of the offense and CLEARLY made better decisions AND more accurate throws. He checked down through his progressions and made most of the throws he should have. I'll take missing a pass by a foot. Pros still do that. If you watched the game you would have seen that the offense was just different with him. In a good way. After all, if you like to go by numbers, it would take a super QB to throw a 80 yard TD pass right? Oh, but wait. It was a screen pass that went for 80. Get my drift? Just sayin'. He's not the Holy Savior, but the offense was a whole lot more dynamic when he was in. Harris has had more than a fair opportunity to succeed under the most prolific serial QB killer in history. Our Les Miles.
