Wrong, it was Nov. 2, 1963, and we lost, 37-3.
I would much rather a similar outcome to when LSU and Ole Miss played for the SEC title on Dec. 5 1970.
I think both were Top Ten teams or close to it.
I know LSU was because they played #1 Nebraska in the Orange Bowl 26 days after this one.
LSU had lost 20-18 to A&M on near the last play in the opener and 0-3 at Notre Dame.
The Tigers squeaked by the Rebels and an injured Archie on ABC National Saturday Night TV 61-17.
