Russell wasn't lucky enough to make the title game with two losses.

You type as though Russell didn't win any games. Let's see what Flynn's stats are after several more games. Perhaps his stats can approach Russell's.

If your point was that Russell was a better QB for LSU, you have an argument

In the OP, he calls their pro careers a wash, which is debatable.

In both of the games in 2006 that we lost, Russel did not show up at all.

He had a better WR corps. It shouldn't be ignored.

Stats are for losers.

There never was a JR/flynn debate. JR, first team all-sec, manning award winner.

I always wondered why JR/Flynn debates never turned into a race war on here like the JL JJ threads always did.

I thinks it's bc everyone liked both Jamarcus and Matt.
Bunch of people didn't like JJ.

I'd take Matt Flynn over Jamarcus Russell any day of the week.

Bump to keep The Boat eating a dick for the rest of the night.

Two Packers records: Most passing yards in a single game and biggest comeback have Matt Flynn at the top of the list.

I loved both QB's while at LSU and I'm very thankful they were tigers, but being unbiased everyone should know JR was better then MF in college. Stats, awards, Win loss records prove that. Also jimbo , saban, and miles would agree too!

Because we all know that they were perfect when it comes to QB decisions…like the whole Rohan Davey/Josh Booty fiasco, recruiting Robert Lane as a QB, signing Rick Clausen, the whole Jordan Jefferson era, etc.
