The ineptness of Les Miles.

The clock management.
I've never, in my 47 years of playing and watching football seen a worse example than Miles. I've seen his team on numerous occasions on a crucial down, come out of a full time out, and be penalized for delay of game. I've seen them get back to back delay of game penalties after a time out! I've never seen another team do this.
I don't need to remind you all of the numerous frick ups in calling time outs at crucial points of the game or letting the clock run out on us before stopping the playclock. Tennessee game, Ole Miss game, blah blah blah.
Please feel free to add to the many shortcomings.

Don't sweat it. His firing just got delayed a year. I would love for him to prove me wrong and win a championship but I see a 8-4 or 9-3 season at best next year.
