The Good:
-Simon and Claiborne are fricking legit cover corners.
-Its amazing how deep are on the D-line, I don't know of any other LSU team that could rotate 12 guys without a dropoff.
-If we need 2 yrds on 3rd down, there is no stopping Ware.
-Jarrett Lee is playing within himself, I feel very comfotable with him running the offense.
- Allemand is a legit FG kicker.

The Bad:
-red zone play calling has to be something other than run, run, pass. J Lee is a real good 1st down passer, we need to mix it up down there.
-We need Faulk at LT, hope he comes back for WVU, Shaw is 45 lbs lighter, and not nearly as strong.
-Lee still throws with all arm. It resulted in him floating that pick, and it will undoubtably result in more picks if he continues to throw without moving his feet.
-Tyrann is tring too hard to get the ball out, I worry he will give up a big play, while trying to make a big play.
-Don't know why we can't kick off deeper. we are kicking it right to where their returner can pick up some speed before catching the ball, kickoffs scared me all night.

not having bennie logan in there "with the good" is something you need to reconsider. no-one has said much about him but, whenever you watch the replay, you will see TOTAL domination on his part.

no doubt, had I had a seperate bullet point for every d-lineman who played good, I would get a lot of tl;dr's though, I could go all day on that line

Lee's pick was a busted play, however, would you rather have Lee punt the ball 45 yards on 2nd down once every 14something passes, or have that fricking guy we had last night punt is for 25 on fourth? Tell the truth, lol.

that pick didn't overly concern me, its the throwing off of his back foot using all arm, it WILL result in more picks. I think he could be great if he learned to step into his throws. with some more zip on his throws, we would have had a hell of a lot more YAC

it works for him for the most part. its too late to even worry about it/try to fix it.

I agree to an extent, doesn't worry me any less when we play better secondaries though

I agree with all of your points. Spot-on.
I also have concern about how we play if we get behind. I'd like to see us in a 2-minute drill before the half to see how we can pass against a defense that knows we're going to pass.

Edit: I also noticed his passes in the second half tended to be better. He lead the receivers much moreso than earlier in the game. A couple I remember are a slant to Randall that hit him in stride and a swing pass. Yes, these are routine, but he had previously thrown several of them behind the receivers.

Yes. Noticable drop-off in the running game once he went out. And T-Bob is still the weakest link in the line.

personally, I would like to see us go into the no huddle earlier in the game. Lee looks very comfortable playing up tempo football, and MSU's defense couldn't stop us for shite when we sped it up.

The Good:

-Mingo's pass rush vs traditional QBs. I'm really looking forward to play the more traditional offenses/drop back passers (Bama and Tenn) and see how many sacks/FFs Mingo will get. He is just so quick off the edge.

He does do this a lot but he does wait for help before doing it most of the time.

I agree, except I'd be concerned about him getting too much back into his gunslinger-mode. But we do need to see what we can do if we fall behind.

same for Big Sam. with our corners covering so well, and our ends being so fast, and our DT's blowing up the middle, it will be a long day for pro style QB's. they will have 3 seconds to find an open reciever, or they are going down, and our guys have no problem covering receivers for 3 seconds

Did you guys see when Lee pulled the ball back on the screen pass to left the guy triying to intercept/bat it get out of the way, then toss it over him and our inside receiver to the screen fellow? Was a thing of beauty. Old Lee = pick 6 on that one. F you Crowton.

The Freak has to be in the good, along with Beckham.

I know it's early, but this is the nastiest D I've seen since 2003.

The Bad:

The penalties. Don't forget the penalties. They killed a couple of big plays...a couple of drives.

Special teams on kickoff/punt returns and coverage. We don't cover well at all, and our kickoffs are short. Don't get me started on how poor our punting is. That said, Allemand was solid regarding field goals.
