"The great uncertainty of all data in war is a peculiar difficulty, because all action must, to a certain extent, be planned in a mere twilight, which in addition not infrequently — like the effect of a fog or moonshine — gives to things exaggerated dimensions and unnatural appearance." Carl Von Clausewitz.
Much has been written about the "fog of war" as it applies to military planning. The concept, however, applies to any discipline where quick decision making needs to be made based upon uncertain facts or unexpected conditions. The only way to survive in such situations is to have an established command and control structure. The organization of a big time college football program requires a rigid command and control structure. We have none at LSU.

maybe it should be like "The men who stare at Goats?" If enough LSU fans stare at L.M. with that intent in mind; God Bless his soul, he will kill over or better pass out in fear and leave with his HAT?
