The excitement is higher than I've seen in awhile

After going back and watching replays of Saturday, I can gladly say this is the most excited I've been to watch a team in awhile. While the offense looked similar to what it did at the end of the year last year, that was only the first game and there is still a lot for Canada to open up in the game plan, but it didn't all need to be used. We were consistent on offense (besides RZ offense, but it's the first game so I'll give a pass) and the defense looked awesome. We are young, but we still have awhile to go. Looking forward to what a competent coaching staff can do with the great talent we have. Even if we go 9-3 or 14-0, the fact that watching LSU is enjoyable again is enough for me. Geaux Tigers!

We will win 90% of our games on our defense alone. That other 10% we will need our offense to grow on.
I believe that Saturday Canada and O were just laying the roots down for this offense, putting down a base of the offense first is what was needed to be done. Ease the players into this thing and slowly unfold it. Game to game we will see this thing grow more and more, by Nov 4th we will see the entire package without a doubt in my mind. I believe in what LSU is doing here, and I love our chances going forward because nobody else knows what to expect!

Than maybe he can edit it.
And he did. I'm glad I could contribute to this great thread.

Miles made the program nearly irrelevant.

O has brought back the excitement. Letting very talented coordinators do their jobs without interference and expects them to use our talent. Sorry everyone else hates him, but I am excited to be an LSU fan right now.

I wanted Miles gone after the Tennesse game in '05 and was mad when he didn't goto Michigan in '07, but this statement is ridiculous.

Miles made Saban look like a genius....

Me too. I watched him try to ice the game when we were up 21-0. They came back and beat his stupidity. From then I always worried about our team. At least he got us one in 2007, but boy was he lucky. We had a great team but he lost to Arky and Kentucky. Oh boy was he lucky

Yeah it had nothing to do with Saban's five national titles..

Didn't Saban's LSU championship team have a loss? And didn't it take some stroke of luck to get into that game over USC? Like some unlikely upset in another conference?
As far as the Tennessee loss I would think that some of the blame falls on the two hurricanes that interrupted normal practices that year.
