...unbelievably fun and nemorable....these last few years, not so much....I will miss who Les was as a person, and who he was as a Coach when teams still "Feared the HAT"....
Thanks for all you did for LSU and Louisiana Coach!

The 2007 season was magical! That was the year of the hatter. Too bad that spark was rarely seen after that.

his craziness and unpredictability would just drive opposing coaches crazy on the sidelines...you could see them just freaking out during the game!

Yes, so magical. I'll never forget benching Charles Scott at Kentucky after he ran wild on them and continually running a hurt Jacob Hester instead. Nor will I forget watching Arkansas beat us at home, while we were #1, only needing to win out to go to the NC.

Even that season had signs of why Les was never a better coach than he could've been.

Now, I am not disagreeing with you, I loved the outcome of the 2007 season. But that season had 2 of the most devastating losses I've experienced in the Miles era. We were lucky to have backed into that championship. Like I've always said, we won a championship that year in spite of Les Miles not because of him.

Yep that magical year where we lost 2 games with the best team in college football. Oh such fond memories of mediocrity at that top

Blowing a 21 point lead at home to ten in his first game. Yes. Quite memorable

It was a gilded age. Miles eating grass, faking field goals on Spurrier, throwing to the end zone to D. Byrd while Tubbs pulled his hat off in disgust. It was pretty fun. Maddening and heart attack inducing but fun.

The first two games of his career foreshadowed everything to come. First the ASU game, the first drive of the Miles era was a 3 and out, then a fake punt out of his own endzone. a big comeback after going down big because of special teams turnovers, then on 4th and 10 a throw from midfield to the endzone actually gets caught and we win.

Then the 2nd game we get a huge lead, blow it. Miles tries to call a timeout after an interception, then we lose in OT to a terrible Tennessee team.

He was always good for making a call that would leave you scratching your head...... even in the best of times. Seems as if he had a lot of extraordinary luck over the years. Particularly in 2007!

"Lesticles" era football was a blast.

I've missed it sorely for the past few seasons.

Had Katrina not happened, we aren't playing 13 weeks in a row, a home game in Arizona, and Tennessee on a Monday night, and 13 weeks straight with no bye week. We could've beat UGA and played for the championship had we not been so beat down. We were close on the first few years, and it was fun!

When he first got there he pretty much had a 2 game schedule in Fla and Aub. Miss, Miss St and Ark where trying to make a bowl game. Now that they're better, he struggled to beat them.

2001-2007 as a whole was an unbelievable time in lsu football. 3 sec titles and two nattys in 7 years.

2001-2007 was also the best time of my life. i was in my late twenties/early thirties. re-enlisted after 9/11, came home, opened a business in 2004. went well until the housing market crashed, which oddly coincided with lsu football tailing off for a bit.

i'll always remember les being part of it.
