we've played 4 games, and we didn't score against the only team that had a good defense. Arkansas had a pulse, but fortunately Nabers is excellent at getting separation from his cover guy, and Daniels is looking for him and if there is one thing daniels can do well, it's get the ball to an open receiver if he sees him.

DAniels threw 2 really good passes - the end zone to nabers and a middle yardage throw to someone who was covered.

what broke the game open was the old prevent defense at the end of the first half. our receiver running deep found an open spot and daniels was looking down field and saw him. gave him some confidence for the second half.

btw, none of the talking heads were recommending him for the heisman after the game.

But to act like people can’t objectively say he was bad in the first half is ridiculous and that’s all I’m arguing.

You can say what you want, but would you boo the kid?
It was obvious he was struggling, it didn’t take a Nick Saban to ascertain that. Wd all saw it, but I think most knee Daniels would gather himself and get it going,

The offense is why we won and the defense deserves to get roasted this week and anyone else with a different takeaway is wrong for this game. But to act like the criticism was unwarranted through the first half is disingenuous at best.

Yes the D was poor and it’s on House and BK to remedy that. Whether it’s scheme, strategy, personnel or all of the above; it’s their job to fix it. Booing doesn’t help.

Honestly, LSU is not very good on both sides of the ball. The Tigers are marginally better on offense because of Daniels. LSU just doesn’t have enough quality players to be anything other than a mediocre to good team. They may beat Ole Miss and Auburn, but will struggle against Alabama, Florida and Texas A&am.

The problem with him is, his career at LSU has been like a roller coast highs and lowes. When he is good he is good. When he is bad he is bad. I'll be honest I'm not a big fan of him. As long has is playing I will cheer for him.

The board was flooded with Nuss posts after the first pass.

Despite Nuss not looking great and 5’s insane game last week.

It’s toxic as frick and it’s a shame these people can’t enjoy the best unit of this team at this point of the season.

Who isn’t??!

Daniels isn’t Joe Burrow, but he isn’t a Jennings, Jordan Jefferson, or Jarred Lee either. The guy is a first line SEC QB that had proven he can lead comebacks and win big games. I’d rather have him than any other SEC QB playing right now.

Agreed, but to act like he’s above criticism and questioning is not warranted

With a lot of people on this site it goes beyond just criticism.

They harp on every pass that isn’t perfect and can’t even compliment when he plays great without some sort of qualifier.

Perfect example is last night. First 20 minutes was not his best football but he was absolutely money after that. Yet all some of you talk about is the first 20 minutes.

Some of you even said he was the reason it wasn’t a blow out when in fact that was because of the defense. Daniel’s straight up put the team in his back and win the game last night.

He’s been one of the best in the country for 3 straight games but that’s still not enough.

He’s had too many inconsistent or downright bad games to be above it.

LAST YEAR. He was very inconsistent last year. But that has t been the case this year.

Even the FSU game, his worst of the season, he was still about number 10 on the list reasons we got beat.

At the stadium yesterday and I hear supposed fans boo JD in the second quarter when he threw a low pass and yell "you suck!"

Well was he sucking at the time?

In all seriousness, JD has shown to be inconsistent throughout his career. When he plays bad I am going to criticize him, when he plays well I am going to give him credit. Just like I will when Maason Smith is getting shoved around or BTJ when he drops a pass.

Much of the JD criticism is from trolls. Other SEC fans dressed up like Tiger fans. Their whole purpose here is to cause chaos, arguments and division amongst the fan base. (A large majority of the trolls on here are Bama & Aggots, IMO).

A very small amount of the criticism is from racist assholes, who always pull for the white QB, when there is a choice. Of course there are also some black racists, who conversely always pull for the black qb over the white guy as well. This is in every fan base, and does not seem to be as rampant as the trolls.

I don’t think that the majority of JD bashing comes from true Tiger fans. People need to just ignore the haters and not respond to every troll attempt. If we could actually do that, most will go away.

BTW, JD & the Offense went Punt, Int, Punt on the first 3 possesions. Then they went FG, TD, TD, TD, TD, FG to end the game. They almost certainly would have scored a TD on the final drive, but due to circumstances, the game winning FG was the way to go. All four TD drives went 75 yards. The two FG drives were 65+.

First half he looked like he was in the bottom 3 of the conference so I could see some criticism. Second half he was amazing, results matter in almost every job. With our current defense we need second half Daniels if we want to win the west.

Jayden Daniel’s is a very good quarterback and he’s made noticeable improvement from a year ago.

On top of that, he seems like a very good person and teammate. Represents himself and his team with no apparent attitude or behavior problems.

Best thing that came out of last night is that JD had a horrific start, but then came back and really turned it on late 2nd and all 2nd half. Usually, if he doesn't get a good start, he gets flustered/panicked and sucks the whole game. That's huge progress.

Youre a fricking idiot.

So Tom Brady never threw a pic? Never had a bad drive/half?

Even players considered the GOAT have bad games, plays, halfs etc.

SHUT THE frick UP.

Newsflash, rantard expectations of perfection is not the standard for good QB play.

I’ve seen 4 overthrown deep balls in nfl games in the first quarter as of 12:30.

I guess all those QB are trash too bc they aren’t 100% on deep balls.

He’s very much LSU and has a terrific work ethic. Spends countless hours putting in extra.

I would love to believe this, but I know it's not true. We just have a really ignorant fan base.

The funny thing is these same idiots that bitch about every pass some how believe there is a better qb that the coaches intentionally aren’t playing.
