The discussions have been made; shut up and watch ball

All of the discussions have been exhausted: Les sucked and had to go, O sucks and shouldn't have been hired, and Alleva sucks and needs to be fired. These are pretty consensus. Also, this season looks grim.
We have O for at least this and a couple more years. Either he rights the ship or we get another coach. That's all there is to it, barring something odd (NB4 "It'll set us back twenty years!"--I freaking know). Further, the attrition this offseason is one part new coach, one part Les Miles, possibly one part Grimes. It's in the past now.
The only relevant discussions going forward are future recruiting and in-game and game-to-game adjustments. And everything else, I suppose. I'm just sick of terrible threads saying exactly what's been said ad nauseam. Here's to realistic expectations with a dash of hopeful positivity, and go Tigers.

But you agree, don't you, that Miles should never have been fired if the replacement was going to be O, right?
(And Les was still a 77% winning coach - if you define that as "sucked" then you're going to be very, very unhappy with your world, your life and yourself, IMHO.)

Oh, I agree. Certainly through the end of the 2018 season, barring a total collapse - now losing seasons this year and next year (which of course, "no" LSU fan is rooting for
) - might do it. Honestly, I think 7 wins this year and 8 next year - probably gets O a 1-year extension, depending on recruiting and other factors. Many "fans" are rooting for far worse. I'm for the team - period. 100%. Win every game. I may not "love" LSU enough to root against them.

Really? 2013 and 2015, while disappointing in certain respects, didn't "suck". 2014 did, but we're on our way there now as we speak.
