The Cam deal: Its impact and timing, IF it happens

It is plausible that something will happen, but that it will be staged to a better time than NSD. Sometime between NSD and Spring ball is the time it will happen IF it happens.
Seems that Coach Miles and Cameron would want to spend some time with the offensive recruits, and their families, ahead of such an announcement to ensure no one deemed it a betrayal of trust.
The existing players would be told in the best way, and they would deal with it like teams always do.
There are 10 offensive players (out of 24 recruits in the class) that are potentially affected:
Oline: 4 - I doubt the Offensive linemen will care a lot
WR: 3 - would matter to them, but I imagine they would be ok as passing would likely increase, not decrease.
TE: 1 - Not sure, but probably the same as WR's
RB: 1 - This stud will just roll on, and may end up at LB anyhow, making the class have only 9 Offensive players potentially affected.
QB: 1 - Lindsey Scott surely has discussed this in his recruitment, and is surely aware of the risk.
Let the dust settle. Let Miles do what he always does, partnering with his coaches to give them a soft-landing.
If it happens, the window opens tomorrow/Friday, and closes at least 2 weeks before spring practice begins in early March.
That means a potential window for such an announcement is narrow: Feb 5-12.
Not predicting whether he stays or goes, just the impact and timing in case he does depart.

OK. Again I ask, why is this still being discussed as if it's a possibility when everything I've seen has been "it's absolutely not happening" and an extension is in the works? What did I miss?

Cam got what, 1 recruit this year? Players would probably be excited honestly.

Thought this thread was about the DAB before I opened it

I'm sure his role was strategically lessened, given the overall situation.
