The atmosphere at the game on tv reminded me of the early 2000s Tiger Stadium

I can tell from watching the game on tv, it was a special environment. It gave me early 2000s vibes of Tiger Stadium when we started our golden age in football and happy for the players and fans to experience that in baseball. I love what coach Johnson is building here and he has brought life back to the program.

It really did. Never record games but I’m glad I did this one. Wanna watch Skenes again. He is absolutely amazing.
Was really just a perfect big time college baseball game to watch as a non biased spectator.
I mentioned in another thread my cousin from Michigan was/is passing through Louisiana on a road trip with his family and 2 sons are baseball players in High School up there . He got them tickets for the game last night and now I’ll have to talk to him to see what he thought about the experience I can only imagine how much fun they had in the experience. Trash on the field after the double sucked but students do dumb shite in the moment. Water is wet too.
My family wanted to see that smoke, they got that smoke!!

I was at the game last night and it was electric! The Box was jumping and the fans were into it on every pitch. It reminded me of the Nola vs Gray super regional back in 2013. I can honestly say that was a top 3 all time most fun game I have ever been to. When I got home, I watched it just to take it in.

Also want to give a shout out to the players. It was my 6 year old son's first game, so I brought him down to meet the players and get autographs after the game. He got to meet Tre Morgan, Paul Skenes, Gavin Dugas, Tommy White, Gavin Guidry, and a few others. Those young men are great baseball players, but even better people. They took the time to not only sign autographs, but talk to each kid and take pictures. The respect and manners these guys have is even more chilling than how good of players they are. An that says a lot!!!

You got me triggered with the Tiger Stadium comment.

Sorry to further digress from this Baseball thread, but 70's/80's/90's/Early 2000's Tiger Stadium was

I couldn't wait to get on campus, tailgate a little, go to the Union for a hour or two, then walk on over to the Stadium to attend the game.

Now, not so much.

Currently, the game itself is more like attending a GD Concert or an NFL game and with the exception of the Alabama game every other year, the atmosphere has declined greatly.

All this unneeded and mostly unwanted PIM has ruined it for me, other TB Alums, as well as many LSU Alums and Fans.

It's insulting to the band members that bust their arse during the week at practice to only be subjugated to second class status by having to sit there neutered while listening to pre-recorded music.

It's freaking College Football. Let the Bands play. It worked out fine until some time period around the beginning of the Les Miles/Joe Alleva era when some idiot decided to fix what wasn't broken.

Way past time to return Tiger Stadium back to its former glory. Better late than never!
