All that you said applies to last year where we handed them the game. We're not neck and neck any longer, we're double digit dogs. A win is needed, but more than a CFA Bowl again will be required to get back to 2011. The mulligan continues to sting.

That was under Saban. Miles took over an elite program and did well the first three years, but has not been able to sustain it despite one of the best teams in NCAA history in 2011. Miles found a way to screw up that team by playing JJ dispite what he was seeing with his own eyes. LSU has not recovered from 1/9/12 and this next recruting class may be Miles last chance to return LSU to elite status.

Yeah, that Jordan Jefferson was an elite QB. Would start him every day and put him on the list of best college QB ever.

Right. LSU has been terrible. What would LSU have to do to be "successful?"

Only 3 championships out of 4 years? Is that all you ask? Do you understand how difficult that is to achieve? How often that happens?

So, natural regression/progression is not recovering? The only way to recover is to win a national championship since then?

This recruiting class is his last chance? Does football end after this class? Have you seen the '15 class? So if LSU doesn't win a national championship within losing it 3 years earlier, he should be fired?

I disagree... i think the fate of this game will be determined by how bad our players want to win...i thinkCam will throw the whole dang playbook at em...and as much as we love to hate and love to love Les,the mad hatter will return......

You're wrong in everything you say. LSU is in a rebuilding year and lost almost the entire defense to the NFL.

Also, if your we're watching the game yesterday and thinking that the first half was a reflection on a poorly coached team then you are an idiot. Surely you understand that the entire focus of the LSU staff last week shifted to Alabama and not Furman and if you don't understand that then you should just hush and watch the game.

To all of you that think this game will not be down to the wire ...well frick you too.

LSU is a great football program with great leadership!

Just my two cents!

Roll Tide!!!!!

It's pivotal. The talent just isn't what it used to be. If this class doesn't pan out, it could be a down couple of years ahead.

I think he'll pull off a pretty good class and we'll see results in '15. The rest of this year and next may suck though.

A rebuilding year?

This is probably the most offensive talent assembled on an LSU team since 06...

If the D was even mediocre LSU would be undefeated, but they are shite terrible. Next year will be a true rebuilding year... and it is gonna be painful.

Wait til next year. It's the true rebuilding year. Hopefully some recruits are ready to get some early playing time.

I guess no one realized that our starting center and LT were out. Not to mention vadal has been playing hurt.

We need this bye in a bad way. We are banged up.

Les is good at circling the wagons. I have no doubt we will come out and compete in the Bama game, and could win. It's not that game that I'm worried about, it's all the games after that if we lose. If we lose to Bama, I could see us losing 2 more and doing the Music City Bowl...a complete meltdown.

This is Les's problem, he can't motivate a team until they get backed into a corner and he goes into his 'us vs. them' speech. If it works great, but if it doesn't, it's going to get ugly.

It was Furman, a team that gained less yards vs Chattanooga. It was a crap first half no matter how you look at it.

Maybe Les has some magic left in two Weeks, sure hope so.

They gained under 200 yards.

What do you want them to gain? Is there a number? 100? Alabama have up 175 yards to a winless Georgia St. Team.

LSU ran up almost 700 yards.

I'm not exactly sure what you guys want. If not for a int return, you're looking at 9 points.

Who was that team that almost beat us a year or so ago by running the option? Georgia Southern or something like that?
