The Advocate ($)

Koki has been putting out some good work already, but this article really gets me excited to see how Braswell improves offensively this season. He touches on some things I noticed with Braswell's ground ball rate and fly ball rate, the places where there were opportunities to maximize his skills since he already makes a lot of contact and a lot of good contact.

quote:

Before coming to LSU, Braswell described his swing as "an all hands swing." But his problem was not a strength issue — when he hit the ball, his exit velocities were up to his standard.

He just wasn't activating his hips and lower body when he swung, causing him to hit too many grounders.

I wonder if Leah looks at the coverage we're already getting from Koki, and realizes she stole money for the last year, and used it to fall up the ladder

The narcissist in her would never allow for this much self-awareness.

He really is. He can be a little awkward at times in videos but he's legit as we've had since IDK how long.

Not to hijack this thread, but I agree on Koki and also think Wilson Alexander is good as well

LSU had been Braswell's dream school since he was a 6-year-old kid playing the NCAA Football video games

She ain’t sacrificing time she could spend on Tik Tok to read any of that.

I’m excited to see Braswells development. Thought he was a good player last year, I think Johnson can turn him elite. Good defense already, just needed to tune his swing a lil bit to unlock the power

Leah is taking a mental health day. Can’t expect her to read on her day off.

Ahhh so now I know why Braswell didn’t initially commit to LSU(dream school) out of high school.

Jay is amazing at getting players to buy in to his path for them. We are so lucky to have him.

Koki is definitely a big step up for LSU Baseball coverage.

Isn't she at UT now? It's the place where you can pretend and tell everyone how great you are without actually achieving anything.

And JJ seems to like him, which will probably make things even easier. The only people I've seen who liked Leah were in desperate need of vagina.

She's was fired from the place she left BR for. Turns out people don't really like to deal with constant attention whoring.

0 popups in 183 plate appearances for Braswell is wild, looking at d1 only 6 people with 150+ PA did that in 2023. Most impressive one of those is Alexander Olivo (Texas Southern) with 228 PA and still had an OPS of 1.204 sheesh

Swing changes are never easy, but if they can unlock some loft in his swing his XBH numbers (including HRs) will skyrocket. He hits the ball hard, and the tweaks they described in the article should only add to that.
