Its a hypothetical. Im halfway joking there. Its also possible we stay in the game yesterday if we throw cooper followed by edwards for the win last night. Obviously we had no idea what would happen today. Point is, he was in a similar situation yesterday and basically conceded the game with who he brought in to pitch. Which was weird then and weird now when you consider the weather forecast.
Either way, im happy we got 1 and can hopefully get out of there without dropping another. But im bummed we lost edwards. Id gladly trade todays game to have edwards back

Pretty obvious CJJ took the "live to fight another day" approach yesterday after the granny. Nothing was going our way, delay, bad calls, fired up crowd, Skenes got burned up early so you take a chance with questionable pitchers...if they bomb you live to fight another day, if they excel, you just matured a surprise new arm. It's a win/win. Just not a win in the W/L column. It was the exact right move to make.

I think the thinking last night was to use guys like Dutton and Bucknam for an inning a piece and see if we can come back and tie or take the lead. Then you go to your big guns.

We were down two runs when he gave up. I’m not saying JJ sucks but I certainly don’t have to agree with every decision he makes. He fricked up last night in my opinion.
