I never do. The game was at Rupp and I fully expected what we got. We still had the game in our hands at the end of both regulation and o.t.

I thought we got some calls against them here in B.R.

But I know it's the m.o. of fans everywhere to blame the refs. It's reality.

Since you're usually one of the more level headed hoops guys here I'll pose this question to you:

Everyone has been making a lot about CJJ's lack of coaching all season, but when the team comes out and plays a road game like that just about a week after laying eggs at both TAMU and Arkansas, couldn't this also be somewhat on the players just not getting up for crappy opponents?

I mean that's still a bit on CJJ, but at some point the players have to realize they're playing like shite on the road. Jones can't actually go play the games for them

As disappointing a loss for LSU basketball as we've seen in a while. While you can complain about the defensive strategy (constantly leaving drivers to cover shooters who couldn't hit water if they fell out of a boat) no one can complain about the heart and effort shown by the players. They left it all out there and it hurt to see them leave with an L.

However, LSU is now 7-7 in the SEC with just about everyone else. None of those SEC bubble teams are doing anything to help themselves get into the NCAAT (except Ark.) UT and Mizzou both lost. I still think the SEC sneaks 3 into the tournament. We've all known the 3rd team would come from the LSU, Mizzou, Ark, UT group. As crazy as it sounds, LSU still has an outside shot. If they can take this same effort to UF, who knows? The Gators will likely be #1, but they have looked a bit shaky in their last 2 games.

Well Lunardi thinks so. Check the thread on this.

To go into Lexington and play UK to a one point OT loss in a game where LSU played 5 against 8 was impressive

Too bad they didn't win and therefore didn't deserve to win. This loss only makes the other road losses more embarrasing. Hope they finally learned a lesson from this game.

IMHO it's a shared responsibility 7218. Ultimately you'd love to have all self-motivated players, but that's not the reality.

Coaching ain't easy, but every coach has similar issues in having to motivate players for the not-so-big games in pretty docile environments.

I don't sense this team has a real vocal and clear peer leader, so it falls on CJJ more this year than it may down the line.

CJJ has had a tough time pushing the right buttons with this team both in getting them to do the technical things asked as well as motivation. Hopefully, the mix will be better in the coming years and CJJ will learn and improve from having experienced this year.

We can debate his technical and philosophical merits as a bench coach, but man if we could just have figured out a way to get more consistent effort and energy from this team this year, we'd be sitting in pretty good shape.

That win gets us back in tourney discussion. Not mad at the team, they did their best..but ..damn

I did my best. But I guess my best wasn't good enough. Cause we are back to were we were before. Why are we blowing everything we got going. Should we stay ahead or move on out the door /

Just once...can we find out what we keep doing wrong ? Why does the good times don't last for long. What are we doing wrong ?

Just Once....... We can't we make the magic last for long ? Just once....
