ut not a great one. He isn't on Harbaugh's level. And no one outside the small cabal of sycophants on this board thinks so. D

No one on this board has said Miles was as good as Harbaugh, dumbass. I'm sorry the fact that Harbaugh thought we had a great gameplan upsets you.

Miles is a great coach. You don't get the 7th best win % in sec history without being a great coach. He is easily a top 10 coach and top 10 our of 126 is great. Why this would bother you as a lsu fan is beyond me.

He is just another football ignorant poster that hates Miles more than he loves lsu.

So by that rationale Harbaugh is better than Saban too right?
What did Saban do in the NFL?
What has Harbaugh done in CFB?

Most of us don't come on here to read others' opinions about who is a "true fan," or who "hates Miles more than they like LSU," or who "loves Miles more than they like LSU." Can we just quit this crap? By harping on the extreme minority all the time by going to the opposite extreme, you actually give them credibility.

Don't be coy and disengenuous. The OP was obviously implying that Miles and Harbaugh were somehow comparable in terms of coaching acumen. "Real recognize real." "Coach recognize coach." They aren't.

And Miles isn't a "great" coach, unless you are utilizing a highly diluted, perverse definition of that term. Saban is a great coach. Meyer is a great coach. Harbaugh is a great coach. Miles isn't in the same echelon. He'd have to win another NC to enter the conversation. Mindless regurgitation of unexamined, unanalyzed raw historical statistics cannot alter that obvious truth.

I don't expect to change your mind. You've demonstrated yourself to be a reactionary Miles defender. That's your right.

National title and 2 SEC championships say hello. Miles is a college coach. Harbi hasn't won anything at Michigan yet. Talk to me once he does then you can compare them.

No we can't. Not when there are posters shitting on our program at every chance just because they don't like Miles.

Again I don't defended shite. I state facts. It's called reality.

No the frick he wasnt. He was saying a good coach recognizes a good coach. Only someone that hates Miles would see it any other way.

Highest win % in lsu history.
7th best win % in sec history
#1 ooc win % in sec history.

These point to a great coach.

Holy shite you're dumb. There are 3 coaches in cfb with a better college resume.

Your opinion doesn't outweigh FACTS either but by all means continue.

Miles has the best win % in lsu history.
Miles has the 7th best win % in sec history.
Miles has the #1 ooc win % in sec history.
In his tenure at lsu no program has beaten more ranked teams.
In his tenure at LSU no program has been ranked in the top 25 more weeks.
Miles has 7 of our 30 top 15 finishes.

These are not opinions. They are facts that point to Miles being a great coach. Now tell me how your opinion outweighs these facts.

It's not like Michigan changed their entire playbook based on what they saw LSU do. They already ran a pro style offense similar to ours. I'm sure they picked up on a few things but you and beefense are acting like they threw out the entire plan, learned all of our plays and ran none of their own.

There are facts that point to him having persistent coaching issues too. You never list those.

I don't see where anyone said this. Harbaugh said he wanted to mirror our gameplan against UF. Lsu fans should be proud of this. A great nfl coach publicly said our offensive staff had a great gameplan against UF.

What? No I'm not.

I was excited to hear that a guy like harbaugh thought studying the lsu Florida film to help him game plan was a positive for my team.

As you can see in my thread, there are some lsu "fans" so butt hurt about Les Miles that they almost went as far as calling the announcers liars as if harbaugh wouldn't have looked at what lsu did to win that game. It's getting pathetic on here.

Which ones? Our last 3 years where we are 2nd in the sec in wins?
Or is our offensive woes? I tend to rate wins over offensive production. We finished the year ranked 11th in offensive yards per play and Bama finished 46th.

Exactly. Lsu fans should be happy that such a great coach would look to mirror an lsu offensive game plan.

. Nobody cares about all that shite. Other than 2011 when the defense and Special teams were damn near winning games by themselves. Miles has been just that, a high end coach that can't finish. LSU fans, that don't think being just good is good enough, want more and are willing to risk less to get it. His time here is done, simple as that. We'll continue to go to games, cheer when we do well and bitch when we don't. The right young coaches will come in here in a year or 3 and wreck shite or they won't. It's football and this is America, you don't like it. Well then,,,,fuk you

You and I will never agree on this but you're fun to argue with.

We win 8 or 9 games a year because we have better athletes than our opponents. I don't attribute that to gameplanning and in-game coaching as much as recruiting, and recruiting and coaching are entirely different things.

--The 4th and goal after a timeout against Ole Miss
--2 straight years we have looked completely out of sync and unprepared against Arkansas--a team that we out-recruit every year.
--Delay of game penalties after timeouts still happen
--ALL of the penalties for that matter
--The inconsistency on offense

They all point to a good coach with glaring flaws.

I think Les is a good coach. I do not think he is a great coach.

ETA: Haven't you repeatedly said you were in favor of a change?

that's the thing Rickdaddy; there certainly fans on this board that want LSU to fail they hate Miles so much. it amazes me and pisses me off too. I have some issues with Miles but it sure isn't personal. he needs to let CC be the damn OC and he needs to get the fire back in his belly. other than that, he's been great.
