Sorry if long but...
*Next to team name is Rush or Pass Yds/G in parenthesis

Rush Defense:
< 200 yards: K State(164.3), OKST(132.2), KU(112.9)
200-299 yards: TCU(218.8), ARK(192.6), UTEP(145.8)
300-399 yards: WVU(235.3), ISU(182.0), BAY(300.2), SHSU(263.7)
400-499 yards: UT(224.8), OKLA(235)

Pass Defense:
< 200 yards: UT(145.9), WVU(228.1), ISU(226.3), ARK(264.3), UTEP(195.5)
200-299 yards: K State(177.1), OKLA(307.9)
300-399 yards: KU(218.6), BAY(304.4), SHSU(279.6)
400-499 yards: OKST(357.3)
>500 yards: TCU(345.5)

What it looks like to me is that teams typically get above their rushing average when playing Texas Tech. That bodes well for us. On the other hand, 4 teams threw for less than their average, 3 were roughly on par, and 5 threw for more than their average. All 5 games where they held their opponent's to less than 200 passing yards, they won.

LSU offense:
419 Total Yds/G
245.9 Rush Yds/G
173.1 Pass Yds/G

Texas Tech defense:
540 Total Yds/G
271.8 Rush Yds/G
268.3 Pass Yds/G

I'm going with LSU having over 300 rushing yards and under 175 passing yards. Although, I think we break the trend and win.

The only one of their games that I saw was the Oklahoma State game where they just traded scores the whole game with zero defense. I think this is one of those teams where LF will have a lot of yards after contact. This will be about slowing down their O, which I think we can do.

LSU should absolutely win this game.

UT freshman running back had a breakout game against them. Announcers were comparing him to earl Campbell by the end of the game. LF will roast that defense.

Your defense is a warm steaming turd and Lubbock smells like cow piss. Congrats on beating Texas on the road. It was quite a pillow fight.

If our staff and players take the game seriously and actually practice and play hard, we'll kill this team. If we take the approach we have the last couple bowl games and non-conference games then TT can beat us.

It's no excuse, but Tech is on its 7th coordinator in 7 yrs (or something like that...I lost count)
Tech has had quite a bit of attrition on that side, and numerous busts, too.
Tech just doesn't have the depth, but we do have some very good, young talent.
Breiden Fehoko, Hinton, Dakota Allen, Nigel Bethel, Jah'Shawn Johnson. And, some other guys who are redshirting this season.

I'd say bout at least half our starters are freshman, rs freshmen, or sophmores.
And, we have a first yr DC....again!

when posting our opponent's defensive stats, why do people even go through the trouble of looking up their passing stats, because against LSU that is no even going to be in the equation.

UT is a bad team. How they beat OU, is a mystery.

. You kinda like we beat the University of Arkansas on the road. Who has LSU beaten in the road?? That's right you only played four and lost half of them. I guess Syracuse is a juggernaut.

Syracuse would beat UT.

Getting back on topic.

We have to dominate TOP by running successfully . I don't see us stopping Tech. They live by the pass and pass D is a weakness for the Tigers.

Tech is 113 in pass defense. This is the worst defensive team LSU will play this year. And possibly the worst its played in a while from power 5.

Teams who had a shite rush defense, LSU put up numbers, teams with shite pass defense, Harris put up numbers.

I don't know how well our d will play. But LSU could get into a shoot out and win. That's how bad their defense is.

OSU defense is awful. Contain Mahommes in the pocket. Outside of the pocket he can kill you. Oddly, he is more effective as a passer when flushed to the left. Tech run game is decent. They spread you out and force your interior to be very disciplined. Their defense is bad, really bad. The fans are a rowdy bunch, much more vocal than the typical XII fans. Should be a fun game.
