Lsu is Avery capable team of taking the best teams in the country down to the wire. They are also capable of committing four penalties in one play and setting themselves up badly.

but I don't think anyone can last in a one-on-one scenario against the talent we have at WR.

I'm giving it to the Tigers, but it definitely won't be as close or as comfortable as most think.

This was the guy's last sentence. Sounds like a contradiction to me.

Then he predicts a 3-point win. How is that not close?

I posted this in an earlier thread:

quote:

Texas Tech's rush defense is so bad, that I expect LSU to score early and score often. Surprisingly, I haven't been too impressed with LSU's secondary all season, so I'd expect Tech to put up some points. However, with chunking the ball around so much, it leads to more opportunities for three-and-outs, interceptions and such. LSU's run game will capitalize and make them pay.

LSU - 45

Texas Tech - 28

0 comments on that site's page. This must be a highly anticipated match up.

It is. He's trying to say Tech will make it closer than most expect, implying others (i.e. not the LSU fan base) believe LSU will blow them out.

I thought it was a good assessment, especially his comment about it isn't about how ready Tech is to play, but whether LSU shows up or not.

while I hope you're right I think you are in for a reality check. it would not at all surprise me if we lose this game. they are going to move the ball thru the air at will and our offense is just not going to keep up.

They had plenty of time to prepare for Texas Tech's offense (like almost a month?). If their defense is as bad as it shows, then LSU is going to control the time of possession and end them. to the people who downvoted.

Tech can run the ball, also. And as for people talking about how bad their defense is, they have been playing balanced teams all season. Not so much with us. That's what scares me. We can't keep giving that offense the ball with our 3-6 play drives. Kinda like the Saints D making everyone look like all pro rosters, that's what LSU's offense can make below avg D's look like

How Is THAT zero respect? At worse they score 27 points, but likely between 31-38.

LSU last scored 40 or more points (48) vs Western Kentucky at home.

No offense, but we couldn't do this against Notre Dame last year who was a shell of it's former self after losing like 5-7 defensive starters by the time they played us.

We've given up a lot of passing yards and TDs through the air this year. Hopefully this is sure up a bit in this month.

ETA: This team can also run the ball very well.
