There's no doubt that on a per capita basis, Louisiana produces more college football talent than most other states, but looking at LA boys making an impact on other teams, I wonder how we'd do overall. If every state had to field a team this year of only their instate talent, which would win? TX, FL, and CA would probably be our biggest competition, but I like our chances, especially considering the underrated talent we often have from LA that ends up exploding. Am I just being a homer or legitimately Louisiana proud?

ETA: I'm talking college this year, not pro. Just seems the talent out of LA last few years has been more impressive than usual.

The states of California, Ohio, Texas, Georgia and Florida combined account for nearly half the players in the NFL.

Per capita is a valid way of determining talent within a state but in head to head matchups the state with the most talent will likely win.
