Every team has it leaders and has some players that despite having talent may be hurting the team. I have heard a few names for both, but really have nothing that concrete. So who are the leaders for this season and who may be “head cases.”
Hoping some in the know can fill in some blanks, Thanks

Leaders: Sam and Bennie

"Head-cases": I don't think we have anybody that is enough of a thug to create a problem.

When's the last time we've had a head case?

That's not really a head case. Stephen Garcia, Janoris Jenkins are head cases.

No major head cases in my view. If I had to guess, maybe Shep if he got passed up on the depth cart (based on his use of twitter), but I think he will actually have a good year with Mett.

While I agree on all points, what we need is better leadership on the offensive side - Shep has shown flashes of this, but they are not dominating forces - we've had virtually no leadership at QB since Flynn, so we really need Mett and an OL (Faulk or Hurst, most likely), to go along with Shep and maybe a running back (Kenny Hilliard?) to form a solid offensive leadership team.

The defense will be okay with what they have, chemistry, talent and leadership-wise.

There is every bit of evidence in the universe from the entire spring that Zach Mettenberger not only will, but already has become a vocal leader on this offense.

We need to start listing him as one when we talk about "leaders."
