Old School nights are definitely okay. I love those cause I see all my buddies from college there.

Rent a surburban and park behind the law school early (free). Walk to the parade grounds and toward the stadium. Tailgates will be everywhere

Where are you from in other years? :)

Sorry couldn't resist. LSU tailgating is pretty much campus wide. As pointed out above you should walk around and take it all in. If you think getting to campus at noon for a night game is early, well you are gonna be late and miss out. I never pass up the opportunity to invite people in to our tailgate for food and drink. Even Bama fans ... but I spit in their food first.

+1 on the suburban idea. Ya'll can see a lot more and get around with worrying about parking a huge RV.

Amtrak would be a better trip IMO

The problem with the single game RV is you are most likely going to get stuck in the lot by the river

If you're referring to the lot behind the soccer complex and Tiger Park, holy shite it sucks. Was set up there for the 2012 Bama game. We went to the Parade Grounds for Gameday which according to google maps is a 1.3 mile walk. Its fine if you're planning to stay at your tailgate all day but you're so far away from everything and everyone else.

I really appreciate all your insight. The 6 of us are playing golf Monday and have a lot to talk about now.

Allright, it's time. There will be 6 of us and we are planning on showing up at the parade ground on Sat. morning after spending the night in BR. Any hook up on a tailgate to dump our beer as a homebase and wander around would be great.
