Kramer got a good pitch to hit and made solid contact, and Deichmann just missed one, but you've got a point with Jordan.

Taking just for the sake of taking with the bases loaded isn't going to get the job done either.

Guys. This is baseball. When you get a good pitch, you swing. Only exception is if the pitcher has clearly shown he can't throw strikes and/or you can walk in a run.

Mickey this is normally the correct strategy but when behind in late innings you take pitches until pitcher throws a strike. You need base runners

It does not matter, take pitches until you take a strike. Late in the game and behind you need base runners. 2-0 becomes 2-1 and batter is still alive. Swinging on 2-0 count and grounding out or flying out doesn't do you any good.
