Yeah, We got screwed. But we oughta know you gotta win it on the field. How fricking Gump-like has our fanbase become when the Chik-fil-a bowl is such a heart breaking bowl to be in? I know we deserve better, and we are getting screwed, etc., but, Damn, I remember the joy in years past when we got into the fricking Independence bowl!

How fricking privileged have we become when we think we can pick and choose where the team goes in a bowl? Take a step back, and relax. If we had won 2 games that we let slip through our fingers, we would have been going to the 'ship! coulda, woulda, shoulda...

Best revenge against the naysayers is to win.

I'm still pissed about running the wildcat on 4th and 1. We should be playing for the freaking title. again.

We are still playing a better opponent than some of the BCS bowls, so we need to go in and take care of business by destroying Clemson - otherwise, makes all the whining look even more ridiculous. Bowl game selections have never been 'fair' - no reason to expect it to change now.

(And on the bright side, at least I have regained numerous hours of my life because there's no way I'm watching FSU-NIU, UF-Louisville, or ND-Bama.)

This year's team was just not exceptional. They played up to their top 3 potential in three games; Washington early, South Carolina and then Alabama. Remember the games against Towson and Auburn, and then the three stinkers to finish out against State, Ole Miss and Arkansas? With an offense like ours you better win to get in or people outside the fanbase will yawn. That's what happened.

Here is my positive take on the game. Some poeple, more younger folks- do go out and and party on NYE. But probably most do not and we will be the only game on.I am looking forward to having an LSU game on NYE night for my at home NYE plans- extended family watching the game, fireworks at half time. We will enjoy.
Plus a victory over #14 dabo-tigers gives us a good boost. This is how I choose to look at it.

If we win the game v. Clemson, we should be number five in the final CG. Maybe sixth, if Stanford wins.

That's about as succinct a summary as you'll come across. The 2012 Tigers were a good but not great team. Maybe the "what could've been" asterisk to this season will serve to motivate the team to achieve greatness in 2013—including a mandatory win over Bama in T-town next November.
