What you claimed earlier is that if someone got there before you did at 4 pm and had dropped their tent frame off you would move it so you could then claim that spot.

Very strict if you are trying to get on campus. The gates don't open for anyone but faculty/staff until 4PM. Unless you carry your tent onto campus, it's not happening.

my bad then I misunderstood. I'm heading out there at like noon-1PM friday to rope the spot off for this first game.

That's definitely feasible for me, but that seems like a douche move and I won't want to deal with some angry fans so I'll probably just wait until Friday afternoon.

Agreed. And usually as the season goes on if we've had a consistent group tailgate next to us for the lower tier games and they can't make it out in time for the likes of Bama we will drop an extra tent or rope off their spot for them.

Yeah, same for us. There's a group that just started right next to us last year and we helped them out a few times. It's one of the things I love about tailgating at LSU..we look out for each other

Have you considered the parade grounds? Another good spot is the AG lot. That concrete median never has a consistent group out there and you can park your truck right up next to it or even on top of it.
