you can't get there early enough

best to stake out a spot the night before if you can. we used to park one car in a lot on campus the night before, with most of our tailgating shite in it, that way we could just park anywhere with the other car the next day and walk in.

Early bird get's the spot homie! We lug our tent shells out about 6pm on Friday and set up about 6am on Saturday. We camped out last year for Bama, and plan on doing that for Florida this year.

great spots,

Are taken already and you'll piss people off if you just glide into the spot they've been for decades.

early bird gets the worm, buddy

if they've been doing it for decades, then i'm sure they setup on friday at 5PM, so it's not a problem anyway

True, but last year there were several threads started because Noobs were moving people's stuff. "I was here before them on actual game day. If they aren't here, I can move their stuff and set up shop." Several altercations came from this IIRC.

oh i know, and that was crap on both ends

dont move people's stuff and dont setup shop only to actually show up after 12 PM on gameday

IMO, common etiquette is to show up by around 9:30 AM on gameday if you setup the day before
