Maybe it should be required that all students check td.com for stadium issues. I'm not a student, but I knew after Game 1 that the students had a longer time waiting in line this year than in previous years. Silly me, I would just factor that into my planning as to making it to the game before kickoff.

I guess the entire stadium should do that too. Singling out the students for this when the construction is fricking everyone's day up is ridiculous. Almost as ridiculous as thinking TAF should take seats away from students when there are plenty of no shows all over the stadium.

Anybody know the exact number of student ticket no shows for the FL game? I heard two reports of 3,000 and another around 1,500.

LSU has sold student tickets in the past like for Arkansas game but maybe consider selling for all games.

Has anyone mentioned ITT that the procedure for getting students into the game is nothing short of fricking incompetence? They have a total of FOUR people scanning tickets for THOUSANDS of students. It took me 45 minutes to get into the game Saturday. There were literally dozens of unused ticket lanes at the newly renovated student entrance.

That's why the student section didn't fill up at kickoff. Are any of you old bastards surprised? LSU administration can't organize their way out of a paper fricking bag, as evidenced by everything from traffic management to parking to ticketing procedures.

I do my part. I like watching the teams warm up, so I'm in the stadium a good hour before kickoff.

Good for you. Some people enjoy tailgating and doing as much of it as they can when the game is at 2:30 and not 6 or 7. That's still no reason to suggest taking tickets away from anyone.

They are acting their age. I'm inclined to think you didn't go to college.

Ahhh ok, gotcha. 18-22 year-old adults shrieking 'STTDB' and giggling like middle-schoolers is 'acting their age.' Ok, Ace.
When I was an LSU student in the late 80's/early 90's, we managed to be loud and rowdy without totally embarrassing ourselves and our university to the rest of the nation.

horseshite. The 90's at LSU were out of control, insane. Kids got away with ten times the shite they do now. There just wasn't a litigation-averse administration and national television audience to call you out on your shite.

fricking old people.

So tailgating isn't allowed after the game? The weather would be more comfortable.

I haven't suggested taking student tickets away. I'm just commenting on the lack of attendence in the entire stadium.

Sure, I'm sure there were zero vulgar chants back then. Except there were. Yall just weren't on TV every Saturday.

So as I suspected, you're a giant fricking hypocrite that thinks students should act like professionals.

What kind of clown question is this? Of course it is, but a lot of people go home and get ready to go out or just go home. Students aren't the only ones doing that either.

People get old. They lose perspective. They also stop being fun.

These are the kind of "adults" who post on TD.

the old people in the stadium are basically wanting the student section the be louder, smaller, more sober, and can only use vocabulary from a pre-approved list.

There are three reasons for the empty section shown here.

1. The student section seat markings are considered a guideline and not a rule. The bottom of the student section gets packed more than the top. Years ago, students were let in for one game as SRO GA tiskets and the fire Marshall put a stop to that practice, so teh student number has a finite number of tickets and the identical number of availible seats. These seats are furthest away from the bulk of the student section, so it makes sense that they have to be empty.

2. The south endzone expansion has taken away the video screen so you can't see replays from dead underneath the video board.

3. The volume is so loud for the new audios syetm, that you risk permanent hearing loss from sitting there.

Add these three reasons and you'll see why the section is empty.

We have the sound system SO cranked up with the expansion
