Talk to me about these "parties"...do they sell food and beer? Is it completely lame?

Decent. Nothing to write home about.

other than the bend performance, what do they offer> Do they sele beer and food, is it free, do they have bathrooms or do I have to leave the PMAC?

Free.
Worth it when it's hot outside at least for little while.

I haven't gone in couple of years, but usually free Budweiser products, they also have food. They used to show other games that were being played at the time, and the band would come into the PMAC and play before they made their way down the hill.

They sell terrible food. Usually have free beer and coke until it runs out. Small cups. It's just a place old people go for AC when its hot. It's not a party by any means.

Not true. They are on the ramps leading into Pete Maravich Center with food usually catered by Voodoo bbq or someone along those lines. They used Tony's Seafood 3 or 4 games last year and if you dont like them then you suck at life. Free beer and food with a band to the right of Mike's cage that is free for public so its basically not even part of TAF function. The bathrooms are located in PMAC, and the location is prime for watching the Golden Band from Tigerland marching to tiger stadium.
O....and Go to Hell Ole Miss

Free food and drinks, great view of band, A/C, mingling with ballers. It's great.

I should probably put that as my quote or something. Telling Ole Miss to go to hell just feels right.

We really enjoy sitting in the AC in front of the big screen watching other games. TGBFTL sounds great in the PMAC, and they sometimes have special guests and introductions and mini pep rallies.
If you go to the concessions, yes you get concession food. But if you go to catered food lines, you get a really nice meal.
Cokes and beer are free. And like someone said, you get to see a good view of the Band marching down Victory Hill after the Pregame party....
And no, it's mostly middle aged to young people and kids - not "old" people. (not that there's anything wrong with that - the old fans are the ones that helped make DV what it is - wouldn't you think?
I am pre middle-aged myself....

We usually mix it in to our tailgating cycle. As mentioned free beer, coke and food; it's air conditioned and you get the band coming in so the PMAC is our last stop before heading into the stadium. It's always fairly sedate not what I'd call a "party", but worth thirty minutes or so of your time.

Yeah, lot of us "old" folks...but the a/c is a great relief. The SEC game of the week will be on before the band plays. TGBFTL fills the court and performs. If you've never heard them in the PMAC, it's powerful.
If you're going for a few free beers, not worth it.

It is also good if you bring kids. They can meet Mike the Tiger and the cheerleaders. Sometimes they have coaches and players for other LSU sports teams that the kids can meet also. They also give away free mini-footballs and t-shirts sometimes. Kids like that.
But of course, the big draw is the free beer, AC, SEC game of the week on TV, and the Tiger Band.

LClub 100x better TAF is just a waste of members money, you really get nothing worth a crap...crowds of ppl standing around complaining of crappy food and drink...you can do that outside the stadium for free.Tailgate with homeless ppl and a 12pk better value than TAF.

All the "free beer" you can drink from tiny cups for the low price of $100 per year

Ya that's the reason people join the TAF.
Not everything in life is a transaction. As you grow up you will see that.
On point, the TAF Party is subdued and not for anyone thinking they are still in college. But it is cool to watch the band come in and hang out.
And if you think enjoying the A/C in September when you've been outside since 11am is for "old folks" you are simply a simpleton.
