We tried to tell you Syracuse was decent, and that Middle Tennessee was a fluke because their defensive coordinator was Syracuse's former coach who made it his life's mission to beat Syracuse.

Anyway, let's both win out. Every LSU win makes Syracuse look better and every Syracuse win makes LSU look better.

Middle Tennessee was Syracuse's counterpart to Troy, for LSU.

This is always a risk when a high profile Power 5 team schedules a second tier opponent who's pretty decent within their milieu. One team is usually more motivated to win, or at least prove their worthiness.

So, is Suracuse beating Clemson supposed to erase LSUs historic losses to State and Troy???
