If Lawrence is held out, Herron suspended and Farrell out 1st half for targeting last game...how will our DL hold up being on the field so many plays? Obviously if you can get them 3 and out that will really help you out, but they run up-tempo so fast you CANNOT substitute, could really wear Gilmore and Lacouture out very quickly.

For reference, Syracuse is averaging 88 plays per game right now on offense. They ran 93 plays twice already.

We can neutralize the effect of their offense if our offense can sustain some damn long drives ending in 7 points

Ground control to Major Canada - slow that Mustang down and eat clock on offense.

If we lose to Syracuse then the Head Coach at Middle Tennessee State should start the list of possible replacements on the coaches replacement board.

If we bring a safety up in support and the pass rush isn't effective we might get exposed on the back end again.

We will destroy them and everyone will declare we are ready for Bama. Delusion will set in.

At least take some good notes on how to run a fast paced offense, and maybe try it some time for a change of pace.

this is what we've come to? A fear of the mighty Syracuse offense? You serious clark? Lsu needs to figure out their game, not bend the knee to the Syracuse game plan

You would think the team with the better talent would dictate the pace of the game.

You could say running the ball is bending the knee to the Syracuse game plan. Running the ball is the smart play here to spell our depleted defense. However, the offense needs a lot of work in this game and the next to prepare for UF's defense. And penalties have killed us in the last three games so moving the ball and gaining chunk yardage effectively is at a premium should the penalties continue to stall drives.

This is a tough game to prepare for because you have to be ready to compensate for defense yet use this game to prepare your offense. A cliche I know but this is a catch 22 scenario for the Tiger's

Rock Stocksill is 73-68 as a head coach, and also served as an OC before. He would absolutely have been interviewed and hired before Coach O by every program except 1

Ill let you guess the 1

Good. Maybe the other guys will get some solid conditioning in.

If we just run the ball a majority of the snaps in this game I think it is a sign of bad things to come honestly. LSU coaching staff should take advantage of a Saturday night home game in Tiger Stadium and use this game as means to reinvigorate the offense's identity. I don't see how playing conservative in this game will help offensive preparation down the stretch. You could argue that the defense is thin so you have to play keep away but in the grand scheme of things it's counterproductive for the remaining season.

Prepare different squad groupings for varied points in the contest. Syracuse is smart so we also have to outwit them.
