You are a complete and utter moron. As at the time LSU beat Texas they were a legit top 10 team until LSU knocked them out of the top ten. Furthermore, it's not LSU's fault that subsequently, Texas became a severely injury-riddled team. As all that matters is at the time LSU beat Texas, Texas was ranked in the top 10.

Lsu, by far, has the best resume in wins vs currently ranked teams. We have beaten #10 and #11. There is no debate. You are either 15, or a fan from another program.

You're an idiot.

With all of the injuries they now have, it's a completely different team than what we faced.

This thread is dumb as frick. It's sad it has more than 20 upvotes. That means there's at least 21 people on this site that are retarded. That would be including OP.

Depends if they get some injured players back. It's funny how so called lsu fans will go out of their way to put lsu down, while at the same time pumping up undeserving other select programs. Makes you wonder.

What the hell is wrong with some of the people here? Winning at Texas in a high stakes game early in the season was a fantastic win no matter which way you shake it. I dont understand why anybody especially LSU "fans" would be trying to say otherwise.

Funny how this line of thinking only applies to LSU.

Example, Ohio state “dominated” Wisconsin. Disregard the fact that Wisconsin also lost to frickin Illinois. Wisconsin was top 10 at one point so that’s awesome

Why is different ?

I thought Texas was a top 10 team when we played them?

Ding ding ding. It's the fake fans that can't hide their bias in situations like this. They blow their cover.

Your argument makes no sense. If you look at it that way, then Alabama has not played one ranked team and yet they are number 3. This whole committee thing is B.S.

That theory is bullshite though. Texas is top 15 with a win versus us.

That’s not sound logic. A better point would be what they would be ranked if they didn’t play us at all.

Sure they were. But they have since lost to TCU. Yes they have tons of injuries and when the CFP is looking at the end of the year to see where LSU lands, the UT win will not be an impressive win. UT will lose 1 or 2 more possibly.

It was a good win at the time. But it is not the team it was in 2018 and they didn't have a healthy RB for the LSU game. That win will be judged by the CFP at the end of the season when UT has 4 losses.

Now I think it is a better OOC win than OSU win against FAU. But the OSU win over Cincy looks pretty good as well.

Maybe getting your shite pushed in at home early in the season is demoralizing. So you suck the rest of the year cause you know your season is a waste

I agree. I watched the TCU game. Texas sucks.

At this point it would be like Clemson boasting about beating A&M because they are a top 15 win.

Alabama is ranked 3rd and the only team they beat is A&M. Committee makes no sense in their rankings.

How many times have people on here complained about the preseason polls??? Every year the polls have several teams ranked high on name alone only to watch them be a dumpster fire. Michigan in past years. Texas this year. Auburn last year. Heck, the poll idiots had Maryland ranked this year.

This x1000. When people talk about wins vs. top 10 teams, it’s a metric for comparison. That’s it.

Part of the issue is that it’s just difficult to compre wins vs. current ranked teams, since most sites track the ranking at the time of the game, rather than the latest ranking.

Here’s what I don’t understand about the OP’s complaint: It doesn’t matter whether you use rankings at the time if the game or current rankings. Either way, LSU has the best resume of any top 10 team in the CFP rankings.

Ohio State wins:
#13 Wisconsin
#20 Cincinnati

LSU wins:
#10 Florida
#11 Auburn

Alabama wins:
N/A

Penn State:
#14 Michigan
#18 Iowa

Clemson wins:
N/A

Georgia wins:
#10 Florida
#15 Notre Dame

Oregon wins:
N/A

Utah wins:
N/A

Oklahoma wins:
N/A

Florida wins:
#11 Auburn
