Stop talking about McNeese

I've often spoke of the idiotic misconceptions that float around on this board. In their misery, tiger fans have come up with many excuses to make themselves feel better. Not only is the team young, Syrcause is in a different time zone with an early kick off, Alabama will lose some talent, BLAH BLAH BLAH, we also hear about the McNeese game every single day. The truth is that this game was a disaster from the start and very likely was an LSU LOSS. It would've been better for us to play it and lose so people could get the idiotic notion that we were ever a playoff contender out of their heads. McNeese is an outstanding team and was certainly giving us plenty of trouble to start with. Losing this game would probably have saved us 4 mil by getting rid of Les Miles then and there instead of giving him another year to bilk us.

Completely agree. The outstanding McNeese team that beat Abilene Christian 15-13 and then followed up one of their best seasons ever with a 1-and-done in the playoffs---losing to Sam Houston St.---is going to waltz into Tiger Stadium and win.

LSU would not have lost that game....However, it's ridiculous how many times i've heard people use it as a stat to help prop up the coach.
