Still only two teams per BCS conference allowed?

With the addition of the championship game as a stand alone game, is the rule still in place to only allow two teams per conference?

So only weaker conferences and non AQ teams benefit.

yes unless 1 and 2 are from the same conference and the conference champ is not one of them.

i.e. if UGA had beat us last year and we fell to two and Bama was one or vice versa (it doesn't really matter), UGA could have still gone to the Sugar Bowl.

You'd think in year 7 of this current format people would know the rules by now.

If not the Orange Bowl would not have to put up with Rutgers and the Big Least. For Rutgers to be going to a BCS bowl over LSU, TAM,the Loser of Bama/UGA is a joke.

It's also the reason you will see the Orange bowl half empty..........at the start of the game.
