I dont understand why fans of any team are not hopeful at the beginning of each and every season. Why not? New team, new opponents, new season. Dont be such a pessimist.

It is now.

That's quite literally unhealthy. Vitamin D is important.

I'm not convinced LSU can beat Bama. Bama is vulnerable to the type of offense LSU does not run.

Still the troll you always have been. Don't feed the beast folks

Arkansas will be LSU's most likely loss, just like the last two seasons.
I tend to agree here, but I wouldn't be shocked if we won this game (and the other two Ls from last year) and lost a WTF game to either Florida or A&M.

Because we now know the earth is FLAT, we"ve been tricked. So maybe Les IS capable of outcoaching little Nikki!

I think the toughest of the "should win" games is not Florida, but rather Auburn.
LSU-Auburn is a genuine "home cooking" series. The Tigers always struggle mightily on the Plains, even in years they're the heavy favorite (as in 2012).

I really don't understand the desire to watch a team that you have little confidence in. Why not just skip this season since you're already writing it off.
I'm honestly asking.

It's funny you have to use "experienced" because you can't use "good"

i feel like Miles got a bit of a wakeup call at the end of last season. that's why i think it'll be different. if we do the same old shite, you're right. we don't have a chance.
Why do you feel that? Did you see the A&M game? That was embarrassing to watch. And Texas tech sucks

Figures. No real response. Les remains Cholly Mac 2.0. Bama wins again
LSU might lose to the number one team? Unacceptable.
how many national titles did Charlie Mac play for and win?

Part of me wants agree with you when I look at it realistically. Cholly Mac basically lost his job due to the fact that he couldn't beat the gumps, thus for a long period of time they were considered a good team, 8-3, 9-2 etc. So now we are in a 5 game skid with losing to the gumps. Had we won the NC in 2012 we could probably accept the 4 in row since then, but we didn't. We all need to realize that the real problem with Les is he hasn't beaten the gumps in 5 games. Two yrs ago victory was in our grasp at home, we bungled it away, couldn't pass and at crunch time couldn't stop the gumps. Saying that, OUR success basically boils down to beating the gumps. This year is beat them or bust for Les. IMO. Not sold on anything with this team until they prove it in November and it starts with Wisky

mediocracy.
That's not a word
Yes it is. It's a form of government our country could experience if our leaders could just be mediocre at what they do. It'll never happen though, regardless of who is elected of what party is in power.
Mediocrity is so far above what Washington could ever realistically achieve to say it is a pipe dream would be overstating.

You're right. I should've added Auburn to the other two.

My 2 biggest questions are ( and I believe they are fair to ask btw)
1. Can Brandon Harris complete a 5 year screen?
2. If not will Les have the balls to pull him and try something, anything, else?
If "yes" is the case, then I'm going to pencil in a West win. Otherwise, we will disappoint. I do believe Les can win the conference win this team for the reasons previously mentioned.

Because for the first time in a long time, all draft eligible juniors didn't leave.
This team has a lot of 2 and 3 year starters. That means a lot late in the season when you need experienced guys to hold it together.
