Stevenson losing the fly ball

When he couldn't locate that fly ball in right center, what was going on there? Anyone know? Strange lighting? That was before the rain I believe.

Never have seen him lose track of a ball like that. Thought it was bizarre.

It was dusk. As an OF, it's hard as hell to see the ball during that time of the game. Usually lasts a couple of innings.

weird time at night right before the sun is completely set. just one of those plays, nothing really to explain.

My guess is either the sky or the lights

Right after the sun goes down the sky is still light blue and the lights come on. What happens is the ball is lit up by the lights and there is still a light sky in the background. It makes it very easy to lose the ball.

It happens. It sucked it had to be in a Super Regional game, but it happens to the best of them.
