I was wondering why we never heard much about him at safety. O talked about Delpit and Harris more. Stevens was a 5* ath in high school and even played receiver in the ua game, so even those coaches thought that position suits him better

He was pulling down TDs all during the all American game week. Lots of coaches said he could easily play WR in the SEC

He looked a lot more natural at WR in his film. He's a very fluid and elusive athlete.

I agree. And with the logjam of talent at safety why not let a playmaker make plays

he's a true freshman, so he's probably just going to try out both sides (as he should)

Here come the NCAA14 allstars to dissect our offense and design plays to utilize his speed

Saw his High School game on ESPN last year and thought he looked very smooth at WR. He is so talented and he can help at WR and he probably was not going to get a lot of reps at Safety this year could be another reason.

His senior season he had a TD for a little less than every 3 passes he caught.

Did I read it wrong or did CEO say Stevens was the starting slot WR?

Is this just because of the huge need at receiver? I'm disappointed. I love great safeties on defense

Were you disappointed when they moved Claiborne from WR to CB?

I think that's just the WR position they're going to have him at first. I don't see him getting the nod over Gage, D. Dillon already but you never know. Kid is a tremendous athlete and I was impressed with his play at the Under Armour All American clips at WR. Should be interesting.

I read the same thing. If so, WOW! But, no way CEO is naming a starter after one day of walk throughs. Maybe what was reported had been taken out of context?

I think he meant they're going to start off with him in the slot, like positionally. Not as the #1 slot receiver.

Could be wrong though

Put me down as excited. Stevens will shine, and the safety positions are in great hands.
