So, last night, texas am sent out three captains and we sent out four. Three of our four were seniors and Ridley was the only Jr. Did Les let him be captain because that was possibly his last game as a tiger?

He was voted as permanent team captain by the players

Considering he's been a captain in other games this season (Ole Miss, for example), no. Probably had more to do with a show of support following his reinstatement by the NCAA. Plus, Patrick Peterson would be the more apt example here, and he wasn't a captain.

He was named a Captain at the awards banquet when he also won offensive MVP.

Probly just an attaboy for dealing with the suspension/etc.
