Checkout the first drive of Clemson v. Florida State 1997. I like what I saw. Very multiple in terms of formations. That's what I expect when I see a former QB working as an OC.

Looks better than the offense we've seen for years. I would definitely expect a more organized offense and play calling designed to actually make the defense think. I would think two or three weeks from
now we'll see a drastically improved offense. Just by adjusting the playcalling we could see some pretty substantial improvement this weekend.

You know how in Madden you can basically run any play imaginable, not matter if it makes tactical sense of not? Like if you're 3rd and 25, you can line up in the I with 2 receivers and run a playaction pass. Now practically everyone on the field in real life would know you aint running the ball 3rd and 25, and even if you do chances are they'll be able to pick you up before you get 25 yards on the ground.

Cam called a PA pass on 3rd and long in the 4th Q against Auburn.

Thats the kind of stuff we need to stop. We don't do that, I'm good.

On a side note, at 9:47 the commentators comments on Clemson's new found passing attack is hilarious,

"to say Clemson has a great passing attack, is like saying Dolly Parton has great ankles. It's something you don't notice."

So, this guy that is now our OC has not called plays since 1997? And now everyone is expecting an offense?

It sure makes sense to me that a former SEC quarterback is now the offensive coordinator, rather than the tight ends coach. Throw in the fact that we weren't throwing to the tight ends, and all the troubles we had were with play calling and QB play, it makes more sense than ever.

How funny is that quote from Ensminger!

"We know the type of athletes we are going against. We cannot play it close to the vest and win this game in the 4th quarter."

That inspires some confidence that we won't have the same offensive philosophy with him calling the plays.

You know things are bad when we're pissing our pants over an offense from 1997

At least it was in the '90s and not the '60s-'70s

When my nephew was like 9 and we played Madden, he used to call a Hail Mary on every play and kick my arse

In the first 3 plays of the game they got 2 first downs against the #1 D in the country. That gives me hope.
