Thanks for your input. Overall i agree, just curious to know if Mett is getting any push for competitions sake.

I would't say 3rd string because JR wasn't all that great either. I agree that Mett is older and has more experience. I was just wondering for the sake of competition if Rivers is pushing Mett. I watched him throw today and he seemed a little content.

Rivers will play. We all need to have a group prayer that it will only be in mop up. Maybe in two years, when he is expected to start, he will be a top SEC qb but he aint one now.

you haven't seen them at all then. or you are the worst talent evaluator on the planet. i think that jr is much better. unless rivers makes huge improvements he will never see the field.

Or would you rather wait your turn, develop more both physically/mentally and be better prepared to handle the big boys?

Rivers is one injury away from being the starter. He better be ready to handle the BB's, if only in theory. JL wasn't thanks to Crowton. Nothing like game experience, but Crowton didn't have to continue calling pass plays to the middle of the field where linebackers can hide and wait for RS freshman QB's that can't see the field or read defenses to make the inevitable mistake.

if mett got hurt you can bet you would see jr not rivers.

1. i think jr is better all around

2. les would revert back to last years offense with jr being the much more athletic qb, he would be the replacement not rivers.

period end of story

Mett has a full season under his belt...JUCO albeit.....but a full season nonetheless.

And, oh, he is the better QB at this stage.
