I did.... but certianly you have enough to sense to realize that was hindsight... after the fact.
It's not even close to the same as some of these guys do with recruits and incoming freshman.
You know that as do I.

BTW thanks for posting that link... needed a good laugh this am.
WHole lot of mad in that thread.

Stephen Rivers will play a bunch this year. Cam Cameron seemed very high on him in that interview the other day.
What, no mention of JennSwag and HarriSwag? All the JS and HS jock sniffers must be in rheir Wheaties at mommy and daddy's breakfast table in the morning.

You expected him to talk negatively about his players?

This thread went downhill fast.

And I thought it was bad when I got called a 15 year old for starting a thread about our QBs.

You are such a mad bitter little man.
Someone disagrees with you about your football player boy crush and you get your panties in a wad.

Just accept the fact you don't know anything more than anyone else and we will all get along.

Rivers however is still the 2nd string guy

Wouldn't the 2nd string guy have started the spring game?

Who knows what Cam will do, but Jennings looks to be the real deal to have become a spring starter after three months on the LSU campus. That's not an easy thing to do.

I never considered Bolden as an actual option for us at QB. Rivers however is still the 2nd string guy IMO because you're not gonna throw a freshman in there in a bad situation. Next Spring they will open up competition but for now its Rivers who will get that chance outside of the Jennings gimmick offense plays.

I kinda hope they don't go the gimmick route. I'd prefer Rivers to get playtime if we are up big in the fourth or try Jennings too. it really doesn't matter if he gets his redshirt burned or not because If he plays, he'll play 2-3 years if he beats out Rivers anyway.

We should let Mett play a half against UAB and probably a quarter and a half(or two quarters) against Furman. Then you can get Rivers and Jennings playtime against other opponent's. I know people will say why do that when they face tougher competition in practice, but this will be different defensive schemes. Different players that the QB is not accustomed to how they play routes or our receivers.

If we are really good on offense, I'd like to see them in blowout SEC games (if they occur).

Exactly. People watch their HS highlight vids and wet themselves.

The next recruit is always better.

Then 4 years later they bitch that Miles not using them correctly is the reason they never panned out.

The attention span of some people on this board is pathetic.

lol no. Most people (at least on here), already pencil Jennings as the starter or at least battling Rivers. What you are talking about is the battle between Jennings backup and I've seen Rettig/Harris competition on here a lot since he commited. Lee is off in his own little world believing that people are "switching sides" already.

Jennings played vs the 1st team defense, Rivers played vs the 3rd team defense. Try again.

Lol Rivers played against walk ons. You could probably name only one scholarship player he played against, if that.

ETA: Well, Rivers already saw the field, albeit briefly.
